So apparently, Learning new things is a big factor to improving our own happiness and wellbeing. Though I wouldn’t have believed this when I was just a few years younger, I really do now.
Of course it probably helps when you are learning about something that you enjoy. For me it is linked to me having this blog and currently doing a life coaching course. I am learning so much along the way and there is no doubt I am a happier person because of it.
And even at work (I work in addictions), there has been a huge movement that requires me to learn, learn, learn! It is making me feel more confident and empowered and naturally that makes me feel great.
I am a big Action for Happiness follower – On their website they state:
‘Learning affects our well-being in lots of positive ways. It exposes us to new ideas and helps us stay curious and engaged. It also gives us a sense of accomplishment and helps boost our self-confidence and resilience.’
I’m feeling inspired and want to find some alternative ways to learn. I’ve found a brilliant self-help book club. I love that it incorporates learning with socialising.
